Neither works. I can see from this thread that this issue has been going on for weeks so I done so many things over several days and wasted so many hours that I can't give a clear solution, if indeed I found one. What happened originally I tried installing the latest I read online several days ago and my Windows version number whatever it was seemed good. I eventually found a desktop DCH version of the last driver worked the ordinary one produced the same error.
Only 1 problem: it removed the NVidia control panel I couldn't customize graphics processor for programs. Which turned it into a maddening quest for me not wanting to be defeated.
Tried to reinstall the drivers afresh, nothing worked for many hours. Then I got the idea just a short while ago to install the outdated versions supplied by Dell So I installed the plain one then the Geforce one.
Trying to get Geforce to update didn't work, wouldn't recognize my Windows install. So I installed the DCH version.
I then went back to the Dell versions I think, reinstalling the without Geforce Experience version and then the Geforce Experience version. I think I made it a point to not do a single clean install. I'm not sure, to the best of memory I then had to reset the computer because the button didn't appear in the taskbar.
